Jens Boel is co-editor, with Perrine Canavaggio and Antonio González Quintana, of the book Archives and Human Rights (Routledge 2021), published in Spanish in March 2023 and soon to come out in French. He is the former chief archivist of UNESCO (1995–2017) and is a member of the executive committee of the International Council on Archives’ Section on Archives and Human Rights, which he co-founded as a working group in Cape Town in 2003.
